Use AssistCall with Dentrix
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and works alongside Dentrix: forwarded calls get answered, booked or noted, with a summary of every call by email.
Dentrix: Desktop dental practice management software for scheduling, charting, billing and insurance in general and specialty dental offices.
Works alongside
Example call
A patient calls at 8 pm about a cracked tooth; AssistCall answers on the forwarded line, takes her name, number and urgency, and emails the summary; the front desk opens Dentrix in the morning and books the visit.
- Forward the office line to AssistCall after hours or when the front desk is busy, so new-patient and emergency calls are answered instead of going to voicemail.
- Take a structured message (patient name, callback number, reason, urgency) and email the summary, transcript and recording link so staff can find the patient and book in Dentrix.
- Transfer callers who report swelling, bleeding or severe pain to the on-call dentist's number you set.
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Dentrix's API
- Partner API: the vendor approves access
- Style: Local database access (ODBC views, stored procedures, DLL functions) through the Dentrix Developer Program
- Authentication: Credentials issued only to approved vendors
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
Henry Schein One limits API access to vendors approved through the Dentrix Developer Program and API Exchange (application, use-case and security review, signed agreement, fees). Practices cannot create their own keys, so AssistCall does not read or write Dentrix data. It answers forwarded calls and emails summaries your team enters in Dentrix. No Zapier or Make app exists for Dentrix (Zapier page returns 404). AssistCall does not sign HIPAA business associate agreements, so don't send protected health information through integrations.
Not included: no one-click Dentrix app, no listing in Dentrix's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Henry Schein One.
