Caller asks when the tech is arriving. AssistCall looks up the customer by phone through the Housecall Pro API and reads back the scheduled job time. The owner gets the emailed call summary, and nothing needs to be re-entered.

• During a call, look up the caller in Housecall Pro by phone number with your MAX-plan API key so the receptionist can greet returning customers and check their scheduled job.
• When AssistCall captures a lead, a Zap creates the customer in Housecall Pro with name, phone and address.
• When a caller books, AssistCall creates the job in Housecall Pro through your API key, or an n8n workflow does it from the appointment.booked event.

How it connects

• Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
• Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
• Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
• n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
• Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.

About Housecall Pro's API

• Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
• Style: REST (JSON)
• Authentication: API key generated by an Admin (full or read-only access)
• On Zapier: yes. On Make: no.

API is available only on the MAX plan (the API docs also mention the XL plan). Only Admin users can create keys, under My Apps > All Apps > API Key Management. Housecall Pro's docs state that building on its API is not a partnership. Zapier app is limited: triggers New Scheduled Job and New Completed Job, one action, Create Customer. No Make app found.

Not included: no one-click Housecall Pro app, no listing in Housecall Pro's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Housecall Pro (Codefied Inc.).
