Connects

Example call

A client calls at 7pm asking why her invoice went up. AssistCall takes a message with her name, number and reason. A Zap finds her in QuickBooks Online and emails the bookkeeper the message with her customer record, and the owner gets the call summary and recording by email.

How it connects

About QuickBooks Online's API

Anyone can open an Intuit developer account and create an app. Production keys unlock only after Intuit's app assessment questionnaire, and this applies to private apps too. The API takes only OAuth 2.0 access tokens, which expire after an hour, so AssistCall's live API lookup (which uses one fixed token) can't call QuickBooks directly. In the Intuit App Partner Program, the free Builder tier includes 500,000 CorePlus API calls a month. Webhooks cover entities such as Customer, Invoice and Payment, but only for companies connected to an OAuth app. The practical route is Zapier (29 triggers, 32 actions, 17 searches, including Find or Create Customer and Attach File(s) or Note), Make's QuickBooks app, or n8n's QuickBooks Online node.

Not included: no one-click QuickBooks Online app, no listing in QuickBooks Online's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Intuit Inc..
