Connects
Example call
Caller says "Where is order 10234?" AssistCall gets order 10234 from the BigCommerce API, says its status is Shipped, and the owner gets the call summary and recording link by email.
- During a call, AssistCall gets an order by number from the BigCommerce Orders API with your store-level token and tells the caller its status, such as Awaiting Shipment or Shipped.
- When AssistCall captures a lead, a Zap uses Find or Create Customer to add the caller to BigCommerce.
- Forward your sales line to AssistCall so wholesale and quote requests get captured as leads after hours.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About BigCommerce's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST and GraphQL
- Authentication: Store-level API account access token (X-Auth-Token header)
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Merchants create store-level API accounts in the control panel under Settings > Store-level API accounts and choose scopes; the access token is static and its scopes can't be changed later. Zapier's BigCommerce app has 11 triggers plus Create Customer, Search Customer and Find or Create Customer; Make's verified BigCommerce app includes order, cart and customer triggers.
Not included: no one-click BigCommerce app, no listing in BigCommerce's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with BigCommerce.
