Use AssistCall with Shopify
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Shopify through Webhook, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Shopify: Shopify is a hosted platform for running an online store and in-person sales, with orders, products, customers and payments in one admin.
Connects
Example call
Caller says "Do you have the linen shirt in medium? Please call me back." AssistCall takes the message with the caller's number and reason; a Zap finds the caller in Shopify customers and tags them "callback"; the owner gets an email summary and sees the tag on the customer in Shopify admin.
- When AssistCall captures a lead, a Zapier Zap uses Shopify's Find or Create Customer action to add the caller to your Shopify customers.
- When a caller asks for a callback, a Zap finds the caller in Shopify and adds a tag such as "callback" with Add Tag to Customer, so your team sees it in Shopify admin.
- When a call ends, send the summary, transcript and recording link through Make or n8n to the person who handles Shopify customer service.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Shopify's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: GraphQL (Admin API)
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 access token; custom apps built in the Dev Dashboard get 24-hour tokens through the client credentials grant
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Since January 1, 2026, new custom apps are created in the Shopify Dev Dashboard (store owners have access; staff need the App development permission). Tokens from the client credentials grant expire after 24 hours, so AssistCall's live API lookup, which uses a fixed token, is not a fit for new Shopify apps. Stores with a legacy custom app created before 2026 still have a static Admin API token. The practical route is Zapier, Make or n8n: Zapier's Shopify app has 20 triggers, 23 actions and 12 searches, including Find Customers, Find Order, Update Customer and Add Tag to Customer; n8n has a Shopify node.
