Connects
Example call
A caller asks for a demo on Tuesday afternoon. The receptionist pulls open slots from Cal.com and books 3:30pm with POST /v2/bookings. The host sees the booking in Cal.com and gets AssistCall's call summary by email.
- During a call, the receptionist reads open slots for an event type from Cal.com's GET /v2/slots endpoint and offers them to the caller.
- The booking is created in Cal.com with POST /v2/bookings using your API key, with the caller's name and time zone.
- Cal.com's Booking Created trigger and AssistCall's call events feed the same Make or n8n workflow, so web and phone bookings end up in one sheet or CRM.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Cal.com's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (API v2)
- Authentication: API key (Bearer cal_live_...) or OAuth
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
API keys are created in Cal.com settings, and API key requests are limited to 120 per minute. Cal.com's pricing page lists 'Custom APIs' on Teams and higher plans, so check that your plan covers the endpoints you need. GET /v2/slots returns open times and POST /v2/bookings creates a booking. Webhooks (BOOKING_CREATED, cancelled, rescheduled and others) can be signed with a secret.
