Use AssistCall with Calendly
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Calendly through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Calendly: Online scheduling links that let clients pick an open time on your calendar, used by consultants, coaches, sales teams and service businesses.
Connects
Example call
A caller asks for a 30-minute consult next week. The receptionist checks Calendly's open times through the API, the caller picks Wednesday at 2pm, and the meeting is booked with POST /invitees. The owner sees it in Calendly and gets AssistCall's email summary.
- During a call, the receptionist reads open times for an event type from Calendly's API with your personal access token and offers the caller real slots.
- The caller is booked into the chosen slot through Calendly's Scheduling API (POST /invitees), which needs a paid Calendly plan.
- When a caller would rather pick a time later, a Zapier or Make workflow creates a single-use Calendly scheduling link and emails it to the caller.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Calendly's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (API v2)
- Authentication: Personal access token or OAuth 2.0
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Personal access tokens are created on Calendly's Integrations & apps page. Basic GET and POST calls work on any plan. Webhooks and the Scheduling API, which books meetings through POST /invitees, need a paid plan (Professional/Standard or higher). Open times come from GET /event_type_available_times, with at most 31 days per request.
Not included: no one-click Calendly app, no listing in Calendly's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Calendly.
