Example call
A caller asks if you take walk-ins tonight. AssistCall answers from the hours and policies you gave it and takes a callback request. The manager gets the request in the emailed call summary.
- Forward your Lightspeed restaurant's line to AssistCall during service so booking, hours and takeout questions get answered
- Take reservation and large-party requests as messages emailed to the floor manager, who enters them in Lightspeed
- Transfer callers with an order problem to the kitchen or manager line
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Lightspeed Restaurant's API
- Partner API: the vendor approves access
- Style: REST
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 (client credentials issued by Lightspeed)
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
Lightspeed lists Partner API access as a restaurant feature. Third-party integration guides say developers must join the Lightspeed partner program and apply for API credentials, starting on a staging client, and that merchants go through their account manager. We found no self-serve key. The API does offer webhooks. AssistCall does not read or write Lightspeed data, and we found no Zapier or Make app.
Not included: no one-click Lightspeed Restaurant app, no listing in Lightspeed Restaurant's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Lightspeed Commerce Inc..
