Use AssistCall with PracticePanther
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to PracticePanther through Webhook, Zapier, Make.
PracticePanther: Cloud practice management software for solo and small law firms. It covers matters, contacts, time tracking, billing, payments and intake.
Connects
Example call
A caller says he got a DUI citation and needs a lawyer this week, and the receptionist marks the message urgent. A Zap creates the contact, a call log and a follow-up task in PracticePanther, and the attorney gets the urgent email summary right away.
- After each call, Zapier or Make creates a Call Log in PracticePanther with the caller, duration and summary.
- When a new caller leaves their details, Zapier's Find or Create Contact action adds them, and a Note adds the transcript and recording link.
- When a message needs a callback, Zapier creates a Task in PracticePanther for the right attorney.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About PracticePanther's API
- Partner API: the vendor approves access
- Style: REST (JSON) with OData filtering, Swagger reference
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 authorization code
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
API access is requested through PracticePanther's support chat. Once it is granted, you create an app under Settings > API to get a client ID and secret. Access tokens last 24 hours and refresh tokens up to 14 days, so AssistCall's live API lookup is not a practical fit; Zapier or Make are the working routes. Make's PracticePanther connection uses the same OAuth credentials.
Not included: no one-click PracticePanther app, no listing in PracticePanther's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with PracticePanther.
