Use AssistCall with SimplyBook.me
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to SimplyBook.me through Webhook, Zapier, Make, n8n.
SimplyBook.me: Online booking system with a booking website, client records, payments and memberships, used by salons, fitness studios, tutors and clinics.
Connects
Example call
A parent calls to book a trial swim lesson. The receptionist books it and AssistCall sends appointment.booked to Zapier, which creates the booking in SimplyBook.me. The studio sees it in its admin calendar.
- Each AssistCall appointment.booked event creates the booking in SimplyBook.me through Zapier's Create Booking action.
- When a caller cancels on the phone, a Make scenario cancels the SimplyBook.me booking.
- New callers are added as SimplyBook.me clients with name, email and phone through Zapier's Create Client action.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About SimplyBook.me's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: JSON-RPC 2.0 and REST
- Authentication: API key from the API custom feature, exchanged for a session token
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Turning on the API custom feature in the admin gives you an API key and an optional callback URL for booking notifications. Every session starts by exchanging the company login and API key for a token, so AssistCall connects through Zapier, Make or n8n rather than live lookups. The pricing page doesn't say which plans include the API feature. High Load API is Enterprise only.
Not included: no one-click SimplyBook.me app, no listing in SimplyBook.me's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with SimplyBook.me.
