Use AssistCall with ActiveCampaign
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to ActiveCampaign through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
ActiveCampaign: Email marketing, marketing automation and sales CRM for small and mid-sized businesses.
Connects
Example call
A prospect calls for a quote. AssistCall captures their name, number and what they need, then a Zap creates the contact, tags it 'phone-lead' and opens a deal, which the owner sees in the ActiveCampaign pipeline.
- During a live call, the receptionist searches your ActiveCampaign contacts with your API key and, if the caller is new, creates a contact with their name and phone.
- A lead.captured event triggers a Zap that runs Create or Update Contact, adds the tag 'phone-lead' and creates a deal in your sales pipeline.
- Send message.taken events to a Make scenario that adds a note to the contact in ActiveCampaign with the caller's reason and urgency.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About ActiveCampaign's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (API v3)
- Authentication: API key (Api-Token header) with your account's API URL
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Each user's API URL and key are under Settings > Developer. The limit is 5 requests per second per account; going over returns 429 with a Retry-After header. Webhooks cover contacts, campaigns, deals, SMS, accounts and custom objects.
Not included: no one-click ActiveCampaign app, no listing in ActiveCampaign's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with ActiveCampaign.
