Use AssistCall with Birdeye
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Birdeye through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Birdeye: Reputation and customer-experience platform for local and multi-location businesses, covering review requests, listings, messaging, surveys and appointments.
Connects
Example call
A patient calls to book a cleaning. AssistCall books it, a Zap creates the appointment in Birdeye, and the office sees the visit on the patient's Birdeye record.
- When AssistCall books an appointment, a Zap runs Birdeye's Create Appointment action so the visit appears in Birdeye.
- On an appointment.booked event, a Zap waits until after the appointment time and then runs Birdeye's Create Customer, so Birdeye can send a review request under your account settings.
- During a live call, the receptionist creates or updates the caller as a Birdeye contact using your Birdeye API key.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Birdeye's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: API key (x-api-key header) plus business ID
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
The key is generated in Settings > Integrations > API. Birdeye's help center says you need it once your Birdeye rep has confirmed a Zapier or API integration. A third-party review says keys are sometimes gated behind support or a plan upgrade, so check with your rep. Rate limits aren't published; ask support. Birdeye uses the Customer Checkin endpoint for API-based review request automation. The API also has contacts, reviews and webhook subscription endpoints.
Not included: no one-click Birdeye app, no listing in Birdeye's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Birdeye.
