Use AssistCall with Constant Contact
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Constant Contact through Webhook, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Constant Contact: Email and SMS marketing platform built for small businesses and nonprofits, with lists, campaigns, events and automations.
Connects
Example call
A caller asks about your next workshop and wants the newsletter. AssistCall records their email, a Zap adds them to your 'Phone sign-ups' list, and the new contact shows up in Constant Contact on that list.
- When a caller asks to get your newsletter, AssistCall's call.completed webhook starts a Zap that runs Constant Contact's Find or Create Contact and Add Contact to List.
- Send lead.captured events to a Make scenario that creates the contact in Constant Contact with name, email and phone and puts it in a 'Phone leads' list.
- Route appointment.booked events through n8n's HTTP Request node (OAuth2 credential) to add customers who booked and agreed to your emails to a 'Booked' list, so you can leave them out of 'book now' promotions.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Constant Contact's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (V3 API)
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 (Authorization Code, PKCE, Device flows)
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
You create a private application in the V3 developer portal. Until Constant Contact approves it for wider use, only the account that created it can authorize it. Access tokens expire after 24 hours and must be refreshed, which AssistCall's live-call API step can't do, so connect through Zapier, Make or n8n (n8n's OAuth2 credential handles refresh). V3 webhooks are only available to technology partners. Customer count is a third-party estimate.
Not included: no one-click Constant Contact app, no listing in Constant Contact's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Constant Contact.
