Use AssistCall with AT&T Business
Keep your AT&T Business number. Forward it to AssistCall when you're busy, don't pick up or after hours, and every call gets answered, booked or turned into a message, with a summary by email.
AT&T Business: AT&T's business wireless, fiber and phone service, which many small businesses use for the mobile or landline number printed on their trucks, cards and listings.
Connects
Example call
A customer calls an electrician's AT&T number while he's on another call. Busy forwarding sends the call to AssistCall, which books an estimate for Thursday, and the electrician sees the booking and summary in his email.
- Set *61* forwarding on the owner's AT&T mobile so unanswered calls ring through to AssistCall, which answers, takes the details and books the job.
- Add *67* busy forwarding so a second caller reaches the receptionist instead of voicemail while you're already on a call.
- Forward an AT&T business landline with *72 after hours so the receptionist takes messages overnight and emails each summary and recording link.
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About AT&T Business's API
- No public API
- Style: None for call handling on small-business voice lines
- Authentication: Not applicable
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
No customer API for call forwarding on small-business lines was found. AT&T says wireless call forwarding can only be changed from the phone itself, not online. Conditional forwarding codes for AT&T wireless (as listed in Google's help center): *61*number# when unanswered, *67*number# when busy, *62*number# when unreachable; turn them off with ##61#, ##67#, ##62#. Forwarding overrides AT&T voicemail, forwarded calls are billed for their length on some plans, and international destinations aren't allowed. On AT&T landlines, *72 forwards all calls and *73 cancels; busy and no-answer forwarding on landlines is set up through AT&T.
Not included: no one-click AT&T Business app, no listing in AT&T Business's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with AT&T.
