Use AssistCall with Verizon Business
Keep your Verizon Business number. Forward it to AssistCall when you're busy, don't pick up or after hours, and every call gets answered, booked or turned into a message, with a summary by email.
Verizon Business: Verizon's business wireless, internet and phone service, used by many small businesses whose main number is an owner's or staff member's Verizon mobile line.
Connects
Example call
A homeowner calls a plumber's Verizon cell while he's under a sink. After the rings, *71 forwarding sends the call to AssistCall, which takes the leak details and address, and the plumber reads the summary by email when he's done.
- Dial *71 plus your AssistCall number on your Verizon mobile so calls you don't pick up (on a job, driving, with a customer) are answered by the receptionist instead of going to voicemail.
- Dial *72 plus your AssistCall number at closing time so every call is answered overnight, then *73 in the morning to ring your phone again.
- Get each call's summary, transcript and recording link by email so you can call back with full context from the same Verizon number your customers already have.
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Verizon Business's API
- No public API
- Style: None for call handling on small-business voice lines
- Authentication: Not applicable
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
No customer API for managing call forwarding on small-business lines was found; forwarding is set from the phone or in My Verizon. On a Verizon wireless line, dial *72 plus the 10-digit AssistCall number to forward all calls, or *71 plus the number to forward only calls you don't answer (Verizon's No Answer/Busy Transfer). Dial *73 to turn either off. Most current plans have no monthly fee for call forwarding, but forwarded minutes count as if you answered them on plans without unlimited minutes, and you can't forward to a non-US number. Verizon business landline and VoIP services (such as Business Digital Voice) have their own forwarding settings; check that service's portal or ask Verizon.
Not included: no one-click Verizon Business app, no listing in Verizon Business's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Verizon.
