Use AssistCall with Spectrum Business
Keep your Spectrum Business number. Forward it to AssistCall when you're busy, don't pick up or after hours, and every call gets answered, booked or turned into a message, with a summary by email.
Spectrum Business: Charter's internet, mobile and business phone service (Spectrum Business Voice) for small businesses in Spectrum service areas.
Connects
Example call
At 9 pm a driver calls a tire shop's Spectrum Business line about a flat. The after-hours forward sends the call to AssistCall, which takes his name, tire size and number, and the shop opens with the message in its inbox.
- In Forwarding Manager, forward all calls to your AssistCall number after closing so the receptionist answers overnight and on weekends.
- Set no-answer forwarding so calls the front desk misses go to the receptionist instead of voicemail.
- Receive a summary, transcript and recording link of every forwarded call by email, so staff can return calls first thing in the morning.
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Spectrum Business's API
- No public API
- Style: None for call handling on small-business voice lines
- Authentication: Not applicable
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
No customer API for call forwarding was found. Spectrum Business Voice forwarding is managed online (Voice & Services tab, Voice Access, Forwarding Manager, where 'Prior to Ring' forwards every call) or by dialing *72 plus the destination number. Third-party guides list *90 for busy forwarding and *92 for no-answer forwarding (*91 and *93 turn them off); we could not load Spectrum's access-codes page to confirm these, so test after setup. Spectrum Mobile lines use different, Verizon-style codes.
Not included: no one-click Spectrum Business app, no listing in Spectrum Business's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Charter Communications.
