Use AssistCall with Close
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Close through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Close: A sales CRM with built-in calling, email and SMS, for small inside sales teams that do a lot of outreach.
Connects
Example call
A lead calls back while every rep is on another call. The receptionist takes their name, number and why they called. A Zap finds the lead in Close, adds the summary as a note and creates a follow-up task, and the rep sees the task in their Close inbox.
- After every call, a Zap finds the lead in Close and adds the AssistCall summary and recording link as a note.
- lead.captured events create a new lead and a follow-up task in Close through Zapier.
- Urgent message.taken events start an n8n workflow that uses your Close API key to create a task on the lead, so a rep calls back first thing.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Close's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (JSON)
- Authentication: API key over HTTP Basic (key as the username, blank password), or OAuth 2.0
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
All plans (Solo, Essentials, Growth, Scale) include API access and an event log. Keys are created under Settings > Developer > API Keys, and each key belongs to one user. Rate limits apply per endpoint group and per key, and the organization-wide limit is three times a single key's. 429 responses include a rate_reset value. Webhook subscriptions take JSON event filters.
