Use AssistCall with Freshsales
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Freshsales through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Freshsales: A sales CRM from Freshworks with built-in phone and email and AI deal insights, for small and mid-size sales teams.
Connects
Example call
A prospect calls the sales line during lunch. The receptionist takes their name, company and what they want to buy. A Zap creates the contact and a deal in Freshsales, and when the rep is back the deal is waiting with the call summary as a note.
- During a call, the receptionist searches Freshsales for the caller's number with your API key and greets returning customers by name.
- After the call, a Zap creates the Freshsales contact and attaches the call summary with the Add Note to Contact action.
- lead.captured events create a deal through a Zap, so the inquiry lands in your sales pipeline.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Freshsales's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (JSON)
- Authentication: API key in the Authorization header (Token token=KEY), found under Profile Settings > API Settings
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Each user's API key and bundle alias (the account's API domain) are under Profile Settings > API Settings. Freshworks documents a limit of 1,000 API requests per hour per account, and bulk upserts take up to 100 records. Freshsales sends outbound webhooks from workflow automations; this research did not confirm which plans include that (pricing lists basic workflows from the Growth plan). On Zapier the app is listed as Freshsales Suite.
