Use AssistCall with HubSpot
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to HubSpot through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
HubSpot: A CRM with a free tier and paid Starter, Professional and Enterprise plans that small and mid-size businesses use to track contacts, deals, marketing emails and support tickets.
Connects
Example call
A caller asks for a demo after hours. The receptionist takes their name, number, company and what they need. A Zap adds them to HubSpot as a contact with the call summary attached, and the owner finds the new contact and the recording link in HubSpot the next morning.
- After every call, a Zap creates or updates the caller as a HubSpot contact and logs the AssistCall summary and recording link as an engagement on their record.
- When AssistCall sends a lead.captured event, a Zap creates a deal in your HubSpot pipeline that includes the caller's reason for calling.
- During a call, the receptionist uses your private app token to look up a contact by the email address the caller gives, and tells existing customers it has found their record.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About HubSpot's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (JSON)
- Authentication: Private app access token sent as a Bearer token (a super admin creates it); OAuth 2.0 for public apps
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Every tier, Free included, can create private apps. Only super admins can create them, and an account can have up to 20. Limits per private app: 100 requests per 10 seconds and 250,000 a day on Free and Starter, 190 per 10 seconds on Professional and Enterprise. HubSpot recommends rotating tokens every six months. HubSpot's contact search needs a nested JSON filter body, and AssistCall's live API step does not send one, so the receptionist cannot look callers up by phone number during a call. It can do GET lookups by email or record ID. Creating contacts and logging calls works best through Zapier or Make.
