Use AssistCall with DrChrono

AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to DrChrono through Webhook, n8n.

DrChrono: Cloud and mobile EHR, practice management and billing software for independent medical practices, built around the iPad and iPhone.

Connects

Example call

A new patient calls to book; AssistCall books the time and sends appointment.booked to the practice's n8n workflow; the workflow creates the patient and appointment in DrChrono, and staff see it on the DrChrono schedule.

How it connects

About DrChrono's API

Any DrChrono account user with the Settings permission can create an API application under Account > API and get a client ID and secret. Each app can subscribe to webhooks, which DrChrono verifies with an HMAC-SHA256 secret token. Access tokens expire after 48 hours, so a static token in AssistCall's custom API step would stop working. The practical route is an n8n workflow using an OAuth2 credential that refreshes tokens, built by a developer. No Zapier or Make app. HIPAA: AssistCall does not offer or sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Patient calls and their summaries can contain protected health information, so a HIPAA covered practice should check with its compliance advisor before forwarding patient calls to AssistCall or sending call data into DrChrono.
