Works alongside
Example call
A prospective client calls during a session and asks about openings; AssistCall answers from your FAQ and takes their callback details; you get an email summary and book the consult in SimplePractice yourself.
- Forward your practice line to AssistCall when you are in session or after hours, so callers reach a receptionist instead of voicemail.
- Answer common questions such as hours, location, fees and whether you take new clients, using the answers you give AssistCall.
- Email a call summary with the caller's name, number and reason for calling, so you or your staff can schedule them in SimplePractice yourselves.
How it connects
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About SimplePractice's API
- Partner API: the vendor approves access
- Style: No public API
- Authentication: Not applicable (no practitioner API)
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
SimplePractice publishes no public API, webhooks or Zapier app for practices. A third-party API scorecard reports that the only API is an Enterprise API for health-plan scheduling partners, which practitioners cannot get; SimplePractice has not confirmed this. Zapier's catalog and Make's app index have no SimplePractice app. AssistCall cannot read or write SimplePractice records, so staff add appointments by hand from the call summary. HIPAA: AssistCall does not offer or sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Calls to a therapy or health practice usually contain protected health information, so a HIPAA covered practice should check with its compliance advisor before forwarding client calls to AssistCall.
Not included: no one-click SimplePractice app, no listing in SimplePractice's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with SimplePractice.
