AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Ecwid by Lightspeed through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, n8n.
Ecwid by Lightspeed: Ecwid by Lightspeed is an e-commerce platform that adds an online store to an existing website or social pages, or runs as a standalone Instant Site.
Connects
Example call
Caller says "Did my order 1187 go through?" AssistCall searches Ecwid orders with the store's secret token, says it's paid and awaiting processing, and the owner gets the call summary by email.
- During a call, AssistCall searches Ecwid orders with your secret token and tells the caller the payment and fulfillment status.
- When AssistCall captures a lead, a Zap uses Find or Create Customer to add the caller to your Ecwid customers.
- When a caller leaves a message about an order, a Zap runs Find Order and emails you the order with the message.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Ecwid by Lightspeed's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: Secret access token (Bearer) from a custom app
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: no.
A merchant gets a custom app in the Ecwid admin (Develop apps) that works only in their own store and provides a secret token with full REST API access. Ecwid's pricing page doesn't say which plans include API access; App Market access starts on the Venture plan, so check with Ecwid. Zapier's Ecwid by Lightspeed app includes Find Customer, Find Order and Find or Create Customer. A Make Ecwid app could not be confirmed.
Not included: no one-click Ecwid by Lightspeed app, no listing in Ecwid by Lightspeed's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Lightspeed Commerce Inc..
