Use AssistCall with Google Voice

Keep your Google Voice number. Forward it to AssistCall when you're busy, don't pick up or after hours, and every call gets answered, booked or turned into a message, with a summary by email.

Google Voice: Google's phone service for Google Workspace businesses (Starter, Standard and Premier plans), with a business number that rings on phones, laptops and the Voice app.

Connects

Example call

A caller dials a consulting firm's Google Voice number at 8 pm. The automated attendant's after-hours action transfers the call to AssistCall, which books a discovery call, and the owner gets the summary in Gmail.

How it connects

About Google Voice's API

No public API for Google Voice calls, and no Zapier or Make app for Google Voice was found. Google says forwarding Google Voice calls to an automated system through linked numbers isn't supported, so don't add AssistCall as a linked number. The supported route is an automated attendant (Voice Standard and Premier only): in the Admin console, set open hours, and for the after-hours action choose 'Transfer the caller' with transfer type 'Phone number' and your AssistCall number. A menu option can also transfer to a phone number during open hours. Voice Starter has no automated attendant. We found no setting to forward a single user's unanswered calls to an outside number.

Not included: no one-click Google Voice app, no listing in Google Voice's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Google.
