Use AssistCall with Grasshopper

Keep your Grasshopper number. Forward it to AssistCall when you're busy, don't pick up or after hours, and every call gets answered, booked or turned into a message, with a summary by email.

Grasshopper: Virtual phone system that adds a business number, extensions and a greeting menu on top of the owner's existing mobile or landline.

Connects

Example call

A caller picks 'new customers' on a consultant's Grasshopper menu at 7 pm. The extension's AssistCall forwarding number is in its hours, so the receptionist books an intro call and emails the consultant the summary.

How it connects

About Grasshopper's API

We found no public developer API, and no Zapier or Make app for Grasshopper. Grasshopper already works by forwarding: each extension rings one or more forwarding numbers, and each forwarding number has its own 'call forwarding hours' inside the extension's office hours. Add your AssistCall number as a forwarding number on an extension and give it the hours you want it to answer. Account-level business hours come first: outside them callers hear the away greeting, so keep those hours open for any time you want AssistCall to answer. If every forwarding number is outside its hours, the call goes to extension voicemail.

Not included: no one-click Grasshopper app, no listing in Grasshopper's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with GoTo.
