Connects
Example call
A caller says they are an existing client; AssistCall queries Healthie with the practice's key, finds a matching client record and takes their message; the provider gets an email summary that notes the caller is an existing client.
- During a call, have AssistCall send a GraphQL query to Healthie with your API key to check whether the caller is an existing client.
- Send AssistCall's appointment.booked webhook to an n8n workflow that creates the appointment in Healthie through its GraphQL API.
- Forward your line to AssistCall during sessions, so new inquiries are answered and summarized by email.
How it connects
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Healthie's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: GraphQL
- Authentication: API key (Authorization: Basic <key> plus AuthorizationSource: API header)
- On Zapier: no. On Make: no.
The Healthie API is a paid add-on for Group and Enterprise plans only. Once it is added, the customer generates their own production API keys and webhooks, and sandbox keys come from Healthie's team ([email protected]). Webhooks are signed with HMAC SHA-256 and carry only the resource ID and event type. Healthie states it does not integrate with Zapier because Zapier will not sign a BAA, and Make has no Healthie app. Rate limits are 250 requests per second, and queries have complexity limits. A GraphQL lookup is a POST with a query body, so a developer should write and test the query. HIPAA: AssistCall does not offer or sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Healthie customers are usually HIPAA covered entities, so check with your compliance advisor before forwarding client calls to AssistCall or letting it query Healthie.
