Use AssistCall with Keap
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Keap through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Keap: CRM and marketing automation for small businesses, combining contacts, email and text campaigns, appointments, invoices and payments.
Connects
Example call
A caller wants to join a coaching program while the owner is in a session. The receptionist takes their name, email, number and goals. A Zap creates the Keap contact and tags it "New inquiry", which starts the owner's welcome email sequence, and the owner sees the call note on the contact record.
- After a call, a Zap creates or updates the caller as a Keap contact and applies a tag such as "Called after hours" that starts your follow-up sequence.
- A Zap adds the AssistCall call summary and recording link to the contact as a Keap note, and creates a callback task for urgent messages.
- During a call, the receptionist looks up the caller's Keap contact by the email address they give, using a key from your Keap account.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Keap's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (v1 and v2), plus a legacy XML-RPC API
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0, or a key created in the Keap account (Personal Access Token or Service Account Key) sent as a Bearer token
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Keap's developer quickstart authenticates with a Bearer API key. This research could not confirm on Keap's current site where customers create Personal Access Tokens or Service Account Keys, or what the rate limits are, so check before setting up a live lookup. Webhooks are REST hooks in the v1 API (not checked again here). Keap is now owned by Thryv, and its help center has moved to Thryv's.
Not included: no one-click Keap app, no listing in Keap's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Keap (a Thryv, Inc. brand).
