A homeowner calls after hours about a leaking water heater. AssistCall takes an urgent message, a Zap sends them a Podium text saying a technician will call at 8 am, and the owner sees the text in the Podium inbox.

• When AssistCall takes a message, a Zap runs Podium's Send Message to text the caller from your Podium number that you got their message and when to expect a call back.
• When AssistCall books an appointment, a Zap sends the customer a Podium text with the confirmed time.
• Forward your business line to AssistCall when you are busy or after hours, so calls get answered while Podium keeps handling your texts and reviews.

How it connects

• Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
• Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
• Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.

About Podium's API

Using the API takes an approved Podium developer account (Podium reviews applications over a few days), then an OAuth app that a Podium user authorizes. Podium documents no personal API key, so AssistCall does not call Podium's API during live calls. Zapier's Podium app has a Send Message action, invoice actions, and New Review and New Review Invite triggers. Its Data Feed actions need setup with Podium support. No Make app was found.

Not included: no one-click Podium app, no listing in Podium's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Podium.
