Use AssistCall with SimpleTexting
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to SimpleTexting through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
SimpleTexting: SMS marketing and two-way texting service for US businesses, with campaigns, keywords, contact lists and an inbox.
Connects
Example call
A caller books a haircut for Saturday. AssistCall books it, a Zap texts a confirmation from your SimpleTexting number, and the owner sees the text in SimpleTexting's message history.
- When AssistCall books an appointment, a Zap runs SimpleTexting's Send a Message to text the customer the confirmed time.
- A lead.captured event triggers a Make scenario that runs SimpleTexting's Create a Contact, so staff can text the caller back from SimpleTexting.
- Once SimpleTexting has approved API access for your account, the receptionist can text the caller a link or address they asked for during the call, using your API token.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About SimpleTexting's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: API token (Bearer)
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
API access needs SimpleTexting's approval, which it uses to prevent spam. You ask support to enable it, and the token then appears in Settings, where only owners and managers can see it. Webhooks send delivery and non-delivery reports, unsubscribes, and incoming SMS and MMS. Marketing texts need the contact's prior consent.
Not included: no one-click SimpleTexting app, no listing in SimpleTexting's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with SimpleTexting.
