Use AssistCall with Textline
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Textline through Webhook, Live API actions, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Textline: Business texting platform with a shared team inbox for support, sales and operations teams.
Connects
Example call
A customer calls while your team is busy and asks for a delivery update. AssistCall takes the message, a Zap adds it to their Textline conversation, and an agent texts them back from the shared inbox.
- When AssistCall takes a message, a Zap runs Textline's Create/Update Contact and Import Contact Message. That adds the message to the contact's conversation as if they had texted it, so your team can reply from the shared inbox.
- During a live call, the receptionist creates or updates the caller as a Textline customer using your access token.
- When AssistCall books an appointment, a Zap or Make scenario runs Textline's Send Message to text the customer the confirmed time.
How it connects
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Textline's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: Access token (X-TGP-ACCESS-TOKEN header)
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
The API needs a Standard plan or above. The token and API key are under Settings > Tools & Integrations > Developer API. The default limit is 200 calls per minute; going over returns 429. Webhooks cover new customer posts, outbound posts, whispers, conversation status changes and customer updates.
Not included: no one-click Textline app, no listing in Textline's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Textline.
