Connects
Example call
Caller says "I ordered candles from your site yesterday. Has it shipped?" AssistCall looks up the order through the Wix eCommerce API and says it's fulfilled; the owner gets an email summary with the recording link.
- During a call, AssistCall looks up an eCommerce order through the Wix REST API with a site-scoped API key and tells the caller whether it has been fulfilled.
- During a call, AssistCall creates a contact for a new caller through the Wix Contacts API, so they appear in your Wix dashboard.
- Forward the phone number on your Wix site to AssistCall after hours, and get each call's summary and recording link by email.
How it connects
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Webhook: Signed JSON for every call, message and booking, sent to any HTTPS URL you choose.
- Live API actions: During the call, the receptionist calls the app's API with your key to look up or create records.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Wix eCommerce's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: API key in the Authorization header plus a wix-site-id header
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Account owners and co-owners create API keys in the API Keys Manager; keys stay valid until revoked and are limited by permission scopes and by site. Site-level calls only work with keys from the account that owns the site. Wix webhooks are delivered to Wix apps, not to an API-key setup. Zapier's Wix app is trigger-only (for example Order placed and Form submitted), so Zapier can't take an AssistCall event and act in Wix; Make's Wix app lists 9 actions (not individually confirmed here).
