Use AssistCall with Discord
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Discord through Zapier, Make, n8n.
Discord: Voice, video and text chat app organized into servers and channels, used by online communities and some small teams.
Connects
Example call
A customer calls a game store to reserve a table for Friday's tournament. The receptionist books it, and the store's staff channel on Discord shows the name, the time and the call summary.
- Post each call summary to a private staff channel with Zapier's Send Channel Message action, Make or n8n.
- Send messages the receptionist marks urgent to the owner as a Discord direct message with Zapier's Send Direct Message action.
- Post appointment.booked events in a #bookings channel so staff can prepare.
How it connects
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Discord's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST, plus a WebSocket gateway
- Authentication: Bot token from the Developer Portal; channel webhook URLs need no auth header
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Channel webhooks post messages without a bot, but each message needs a content or embeds field, so AssistCall's events are formatted through Zapier, Make or n8n. A bot token from the Developer Portal is only needed for things beyond posting to one channel, such as direct messages.
