Use AssistCall with Microsoft Teams
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Microsoft Teams through Zapier, Make, n8n.
Microsoft Teams: Microsoft 365's chat, meetings and calling app for teams that already use Outlook, Word and Excel.
Connects
Example call
A client calls the firm after hours to book a consultation. The receptionist books it, and the firm's Teams channel shows the client's name, the appointment time and the call summary.
- Post a summary of every call to a Teams channel with Zapier's Send Channel Message action, Make or n8n.
- Send each appointment.booked event to the front-desk channel so staff see new bookings as they come in.
- Forward a Teams Phone number to the business's AssistCall number, always or when unanswered, so callers reach the receptionist instead of voicemail.
How it connects
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Microsoft Teams's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST (Microsoft Graph)
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 through a Microsoft Entra ID app registration
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Graph API access needs an app registered in Microsoft Entra ID, usually with admin consent. Graph access tokens expire after about an hour, and posting to a channel needs delegated (signed-in user) permission. For both reasons AssistCall reaches Teams through Zapier, Make or n8n, not live API calls with a fixed token. Forwarding a Teams phone number to an outside number needs a Teams Phone (Business Voice or Enterprise Voice) license.
Not included: no one-click Microsoft Teams app, no listing in Microsoft Teams's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Microsoft.
