Use AssistCall with Google Chat
AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Google Chat through Zapier, Make, n8n.
Google Chat: Google Workspace's team messaging app, with spaces and direct messages alongside Gmail and Google Calendar.
Connects
Example call
A buyer calls about a listing on a Sunday. The receptionist takes their name, number and budget, and the agent's Google Chat space shows the new lead with the call summary.
- Post each call summary to a Google Chat space with Zapier's Create Message action, Make or n8n.
- Send messages the receptionist marks urgent to a manager's space as soon as the message.taken event arrives.
- Post every appointment.booked event to the front-desk space so the team sees new bookings.
How it connects
- Zapier: Send AssistCall events to a Zap (Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook), then use the app's Zapier actions. Needs a paid Zapier plan.
- Make: Start a Make scenario with a custom webhook and use the app's Make modules.
- n8n: Start an n8n workflow with a webhook node, then call the app with its node or an HTTP request.
- Call forwarding: Forward your business line to AssistCall when busy, after hours or always. Works with any carrier.
About Google Chat's API
- Self-serve API: you can create a key in your account
- Style: REST
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 or a service account through a Google Cloud project; incoming webhook URLs per space
- On Zapier: yes. On Make: yes.
Incoming webhooks need a Google Workspace Business or Enterprise account, and the organization must allow them. Each webhook posts only to the space where it was created, and its messages need a 'text' field, so AssistCall's events are formatted through Zapier, Make or n8n first. Chat apps can receive events at an HTTP endpoint.
Not included: no one-click Google Chat app, no listing in Google Chat's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Google.
