Example call

A caller says their walk-in freezer stopped working. The receptionist takes an urgent message, and the owner's #urgent channel in Slack shows the caller's name, number and a short summary of the problem.

How it connects

About Slack's API

Any workspace can create its own Slack app and bot token; depending on workspace settings, installing it may need admin approval. The bot needs the chat:write scope and must be added to the channel it posts to. Incoming webhooks require a 'text' field, so AssistCall's raw JSON events can't post straight to a Slack webhook. Zapier, Make or n8n turns them into a message. chat.postMessage allows about one message per second per channel.

Not included: no one-click Slack app, no listing in Slack's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Slack Technologies (a Salesforce company).
