Use AssistCall with Microsoft Excel

AssistCall answers your business calls 24/7 and can send each call, message and booking to Microsoft Excel through Zapier, Make, n8n.

Microsoft Excel: Microsoft's spreadsheet, included in most Microsoft 365 business plans, which small businesses use for call logs, job lists, quotes and bookkeeping. The online version keeps workbooks in OneDrive or SharePoint.

Connects

Example call

A caller asks for a quote on a kitchen remodel. The receptionist takes their name, number and what they want done. A Zap triggered by the call.completed event adds a row with the caller's details and the call summary to the 'Leads' table in the owner's Excel workbook, and the owner sees it next time they open the workbook.

How it connects

About Microsoft Excel's API

Graph only accepts short-lived OAuth tokens, so AssistCall's live API action can't write to Excel directly. Use Zapier, Make or n8n instead. Zapier's Excel app needs a paid Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise account, with the workbook saved in OneDrive for Business and used in Excel for the web. Files saved only on a computer and .xls files don't work, headers must be in row 1, and there can be no blank rows between data. Make's Microsoft 365 Excel app can add worksheet rows or table rows. n8n has a Microsoft Excel 365 node. Microsoft 365 users with a Power Automate Premium license can also receive AssistCall webhooks with the 'When an HTTP request is received' trigger and add rows with the Excel Online (Business) connector.

Not included: no one-click Microsoft Excel app, no listing in Microsoft Excel's marketplace, no two-way sync, and no partnership with Microsoft Corporation.
